Rio de Janeiro... Pt. 2

A lot of people have been surprised when I tell them I don't have an insane amount of photos from Rio. The simple truth is I couldn't shoot the city they way I usually do. I learned quite fast that walking around with a camera like mine brings a lot of unwanted attention. I never once felt unsafe, but I quickly realized that people pay more attention to what's going on when they see a DSLR. It forced me to get a little more creative in order to take pictures. I basically ended up shooting everything "from the hip." I think it gives an interesting view on life in Ipanema and Copacabana.

One of the most beautiful bookstores I've ever seen. I don't speak Portuguese, and still got caught up digging through the shelves.
